BOOK - THE CONDUCT OF PAINT

THE CONDUCT OF PAINT
KEN CRO-KEN

Art books could not answer the questions I had with this physical investigation of our planet using paint.

By reading Cosmology, Astronomy, Physics, Earth Science and The American Transcendentalists, such as Ralph Waldo Emerson,

and changing those words for the word "paint",  I was able to create the art books I sought.

Celebrating the collected writings of  Ralph Waldo Emerson's brilliant book :  THE CONDUCT OF LIFE".

Speed Elements becomes my portal and leads me to the furthest stretches of the universe.
Rather than see the world and paint, I paint and seek out a similar event in Nature.

Rather than say- "Look what I made."
I prefer to say- "Look what I made with Nature."

There is a comfort in knowing that I never had to abandon being a painter to create earthwork art.
Nature in itself is inspiring and I ride her coat tails with amazement.
Nature is my muse, as is all of the universe and motivates my perception
and reactions to the conduct of paint.

John Cage, composer, would often say, and I paraphrase,
"Show me something I don't understand and I'm fascinated."

A wise man follows Nature's lead.
